Description
Snow-covered plum blossom branch and birds; snow and plumage of the birds in blind printing; the blossoms are outlined. Ichiryusai Hisoshige I lived from 1797-1858. He came from the school of Toyohiro and was strongly influenced by Hokusai.

Acquired by Herbert Ginsberg in Japan in 1908; 1908 - at least end of 1929 Ostasiatica collection Herbert Ginsberg, Berlin; after 1945 no longer in the possession of Herbert Ginsberg; circumstances of loss unknown - a loss as a result of Nazi persecution cannot be ruled out. Whereabouts unknown
